The local village with a bar and restaurant or the medieval town of Domfront just a 15 minute drive. For the more adventurous the D-Day landing beaches, St-Malo and Mont Saint-Michel are all within reach.
John & Michelle have lived in France for 14 years.
Their first move was to Brittany then on to the Charente Maritime, finally settling in Normandy in December 2022.
Together they look after their horses, French Franc the cat, Nounours the French dog and the chickens.
They have both successfully run workshops over the past years ranging from bee keeping to natural soap making amongst many other things.
John is the therapist and has helped many people with their mental health problems. His attitude is to get to the cause of the problem and fix it quickly. Too many people suffer for years unnecessarily when in fact the majority of the problems can be solved within days.
THE ACCOMMODATION
Originally an old farmhouse built just before the 2nd world war it has been rebuilt in the past by previous owners.
How it became derelict we have no idea but the walls of the original structure can still be seen.
The main house consists of a large kitchen diner and another large dining area leading into the lounge.
Wood burners are located in the lounge and kitchen dining areas. On the first floor are 4 double bedrooms one of them on-suite, shower room and separate toilet.
The main house also benefits from central heating for the colder months.
The grounds consist of 6 acres of land with an open brook running down the middle. The swimming pool is heated between the months of May and September but also available for cold water swimming during the winter months.
